Message of Amrita for All

Play

SwamiS_1Amrita is divine nectar. Swami Sivananda’s words are divine nectar in this lecture – one of his very best. He tells us to ask ourselves: Are we peaceful? Are we noble? Do we have knowledge of the Self? We should meditate on pure consciousness, the silent witness of the 3 states of waking, dream, and deep sleep. Many other topics are covered in this lecture.

What Kind of Meditation Are You Doing?

Play

M-smile.tif0Swami Sivananda asks the question, „What kind of meditation are you doing?“, and then goes on to explain that it must be done with correct understanding and a proper mental attitude.

He talks about the ‚Soham‘ mantra, which means „I am He“ and signifies identity of the individual soul with the supreme soul.

Soham smarana, or remembrance of the mantra soham, goes on unconsciously with the breath.
